Matheus Diniz
BlackBiography
Matheus Diniz is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and one of the most respected grapplers of his generation. Known for his aggressive pace, powerful wrestling, and pressure-heavy top game, Diniz built a reputation as a relentless competitor capable of overwhelming opponents with intensity and athleticism. His well-rounded no-gi skill set and high fight IQ made him a standout on the international circuit for more than a decade.
An ADCC World Champion, Diniz secured some of the biggest wins of his career at the 2019 ADCC World Championships, where he defeated multiple elite athletes to capture the 88kg title. Throughout his career, he has competed in major professional events such as KASAI and WNO.
In recent years, Diniz has taken on a more active coaching role, transitioning his focus from full-time competition to athlete development. He founded Ascend Jiu-Jitsu in New Jersey, where he coaches and trains the next generation of grapplers.
