Rankings

Pound for pound leaders, weight-class ladders, top teams, and the most effective submissions.

How rankings work β–Ύ

Rankings are powered by a hybrid points/Elo-based system that updates after every competition result. Each match adjusts a competitor's rating based on several factors:

  • Win rate β€” overall consistency of winning across competitions
  • Submission rate β€” finishing rate, which signals dominance beyond just wins
  • Opponent quality β€” beating higher-rated athletes earns more than beating lower-rated ones
  • Event prestige β€” performances at bigger, more competitive events carry greater weight

The system also accounts for recency β€” older results gradually carry less weight over time. Rankings span pound-for-pound, weight class, submission, team, coach, and legend categories.
