Rankings
Pound for pound leaders, weight-class ladders, top teams, and the most effective submissions.
How rankings work βΎ
Rankings are powered by a hybrid points/Elo-based system that updates after every competition result. Each match adjusts a competitor's rating based on several factors:
- Win rate β overall consistency of winning across competitions
- Submission rate β finishing rate, which signals dominance beyond just wins
- Opponent quality β beating higher-rated athletes earns more than beating lower-rated ones
- Event prestige β performances at bigger, more competitive events carry greater weight
The system also accounts for recency β older results gradually carry less weight over time. Rankings span pound-for-pound, weight class, submission, team, coach, and legend categories.
