Overview
New Wave Jiu-Jitsu was a no-gi grappling team founded in Puerto Rico and led by coach John Danaher following the end of the Danaher Death Squad.
After the team split, head coach John Danaher relocated to Austin, Texas with students such as Gordon Ryan and Garry Tonon. Additional athletes later joined the team, including Giancarlo Bodoni, Nicholas Meregali, Helena Crevar, and Dorian Olivarez. New Wave Jiu-Jitsu officially ended after CJI 2, rebranding as Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu while remaining based in Austin, Texas.
