Overview
The Craig Jones Invitational 2 (CJI 2) was the second installment of the tournament series, created and organized by Craig Jones and his team as a high-profile, athlete-focused alternative to traditional major grappling events. The second edition continued emphasizing athlete compensation, entertainment value, and free global access through YouTube livestreams. CJI 2 further expanded the format, introducing new divisions and unique competitive structures.
CJI 2 was held August 30–31, 2025, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The event featured a $1 million team-based grappling tournament won by B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, an openweight women’s division won by Helena Crevar, and a superfight in which Craig Jones defeated Chael Sonnen. The team final between B-Team Jiu-Jitsu and New Wave Jiu-Jitsu ended in a double-elimination before a decision was awarded to B-Team Jiu-Jitsu, creating one of the most widely discussed moments in modern no-gi competition.
