Kron Gracie
BlackBiography
Kron Gracie is a Brazilian Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, professional mixed martial artist, and the youngest son of Rickson Gracie. As a member of the Gracie family’s third generation, he is widely recognized for preserving the traditional, submission-focused style of Jiu-Jitsu in modern competition.
Promoted to black belt in 2008, Kron Gracie built an elite grappling career primarily in no-gi and submission-only formats. His most notable achievement came in 2013, when he won the ADCC World Championship in the 77kg division, submitting all of his opponents in a dominant run that showcased relentless forward pressure and a finish-first mentality. He is also a multiple-time IBJJF European Open and Pan American champion in the gi, though his legacy is most strongly tied to his pure submission grappling performances.
After establishing himself as one of the top submission grapplers of his era, Kron Gracie transitioned to professional MMA in 2014, beginning his career with Rizin Fighting Federation in Japan. He quickly compiled a 4–0 record, earning all of his victories by submission, primarily via the rear naked choke.
Kron Gracie signed with the Ultimate Fighting Championship in 2019 and made an immediate impact by submitting Alex Caceres in the first round of his debut. Following a pair of losses, he eventually parted ways with the UFC but continues to pursue his MMA career. His approach remains distinctly Gracie in style, relying on constant pressure, clinch work, and transitional grappling to bring fights to the ground and hunt for submissions. He currently resides in Montana.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, Kron Gracie operated Kron Gracie Jiu-Jitsu in Los Angeles, which closed during the shutdown period. He continues to maintain the Kron Gracie Jiu-Jitsu brand, producing online instructional content and teaching through digital platforms.
