Overview
The ADCC Trials are regional qualifying tournaments for the ADCC World Championships, one of the most prestigious event in submission grappling. Held across multiple continents, the Trials decide which athletes earn a coveted spot at the ADCC World Championships. Winning a Trials event is considered one of the toughest accomplishments in the sport due to the large brackets, diverse skill levels, and physically demanding format.
Each region hosts its own Trials—such as North America, Europe, Asia & Oceania, and South America—and the champions of each division receive automatic entry into the ADCC World Championships. Trials rules mirror the ADCC format, emphasizing takedowns, positional control, and submission hunting, often producing breakout stars and new talent for the world stage.
